The BC Codes – Release of Next Editions in 2012

The Province will publish the next editions of the BC Building Code, BC Fire Code, and BC Plumbing Code in the spring of 2012 with an effective date in the fall of 2012. Over the next year, the Province will work with industry to ensure a smooth implementation of the new BC Codes.

This free online Guide is an excellent reference tool for homeowners and residential builders. Homeowners can search the Guide to find out if a possible defect in their new home may be covered by home warranty insurance. The Guide can also help builders meet or exceed the standard to which their homes will be measured in the event of a claim.
