The Research Database is a comprehensive listing of books, reports and research articles with a focus on the design, construction, performance and maintenance of the building envelope. It also includes relevant research topics that reflect current trends in the industry such as green buildings, sustainability and durability. The Research Database is an excellent resource for anyone in the residential construction industry.
This online database enables users to:
- Search and identify relevant publications quickly and easily
- Check out the availability of and gain access to a wealth of publications
- Access a reference listing of more than 1,106 articles and 327 books and research reports
- Select from electronic interdisciplinary engineering databases, engineering journals, conference proceedings, research reports, building codes, standards and building envelope best practice guides
A Partnership Project
The Research Database is a Homeowner Protection Office (HPO) project developed in partnership with the Building Science Centre of Excellence, School of Construction and the Environment, British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).
This enhanced bibliography was prepared for the HPO by the Building Science Centre of Excellence, School of Construction and the Environment, British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). It builds on a previous listing published by the HPO in 2004 and prepared by Linda Brock, MAIBC and Associated Professor with the University of British Columbia, School of Architecture. The database was updated in 2010 by Dr. Fitsum Tariku, Director of Building Science Centre of Excellence at BCIT, expanding access to reference listings.
