Energy Code Program
Minimum energy efficient standards for new homes and buildings in Canada published in the National Energy Code for Houses and the National Energy Code for Buildings.
Environment Canada
Envrionment Canada's programs such as grants, rebates and other financial incentives are available to individuals and organizations to encourage using less energy, switching to renewable energy and producing less waste.
Environmental Choice Program
Environment Canada's ecolabelling program identifies environmentally responsible products and services. The program's EcoLogo identifies that the product or service has complied with third-party verification requirements.
Green Building Software
The Buildings Group develops, distributes, and supports building energy simulation software for the Canadian construction industry to optimize the energy performance of building designs and to demonstrate compliance with the Model National Energy Code and Natural Resources Canada programs such as R-2000.
Metro Vancouver
The Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) has developed a BuildSmart program that encourages the use of green building strategies and technologies by offering tools, technical resources and information on sustainable design and building practices to the building industry.
