Inter-Provincial Red Seal Program
The Red Seal Program was established to provide greater mobility across Canada for skilled workers. Through the program, apprentices who have completed their training and certified journeypersons, are able to obtain a "Red Seal" endorsement on their Certificates of Qualification and Apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Interprovincial Standards Examination.

Supports human capital development, labour market development and are dedicated to establishing a culture of lifelong learning for Canadians.
Residential Construction Industry Training Organization (RCITO)
Promotes, develops, coordinates and manages the delivery of effective and efficient industry training and trades qualifications in the B.C. residential construction industry by responding to the skills and training needs of employers and workers.
Skills Canada
Works with employers, educators, labour groups and the government to reposition trade and technical careers as a first choice career option for Canadian youth.

Information on initiatives including workshops and apprenticeship support designed to improve the essential skills of people working in the unionized construction industry in B.C.
TOWES (Test of Workplace Essential Skills)
Geared to employers, TOWES is a tool for assessing workplace skills and educational requirements.

- British Columbia and Yukon Territory Building and Construction Trades Council
- Represents construction unions and skilled trades throughout B.C. and the Yukon.
- Construction Industry Training Institute
- Promotes the advantages of careers in the trades and helps young people, students and others gain access to apprenticeship training and facilities and is sponsored by the B.C. & Yukon Territory Building and Construction Trades Council.
- Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI)
- HRAI is the national industry association and is a partnership of industry sector organizations. HRAI's SkillTech Academy
- Thermal Environmental Comfort Association (TECA)
- Offers the residential heating, cooling and ventilation industry training courses including forced air, hydronic systems and ventilation.
- Wood Energy Technicians of BC (WETBC)
- The provincial governing body of the Wood Energy Technical Training Program in B.C. developed to promote knowledge of and adherence to the safety regulations governing residential woodburning systems.
Council of Construction Trade Associations of BC (COCTA-BC)
Represents the joint interests of the construction trades through its twelve associations in B.C.
- BC Floor Covering Association
- Provides seminars and educational programs services for its members.
- BC Insulation Contractors Association
- Serves its members and the construction industry through the development of standards and procedures and member training.
- BC Sheet Metal Association (SMACNA-BC)
- Offers sheet metal and air-conditioning contractor members training opportunities through the Sheet Metal Workers Training Centre.
- BC Wall and Ceiling Association (BCWCA)
- Offers apprenticeship training opportunities in wall and ceiling installation.
- Canadian Urethane Foam Contractors Association (CUFCA)
- Specializes in sprayed polyurethane foam insulation and encourages ongoing professional development.
- Electrical Contractors Association of BC (ECABC)
- Electrician related courses and seminars as well as an overview of the electrician occupation.
- Glazing Contractors Association of BC (GCA-BC)
- The GCA-BC has a glazing training apprenticeship program available to those interested in the glazing trade.
- Masonry Institute of BC
- Ensures the advancement of masonry technology, promotes the use of masonry materials, components and assemblies in construction.
- Master Painters & Decorators Association of BC
- Provides painting and coating technical advice, maintains specification and standards manuals, and performs a wide range of services, including publishing manuals for the paint and coatings industry.
- Mechanical Contractors Association of BC (MCABC)
- MCABC members include plumbing, heating, gas installation, HVAC, fire protection, controls and industrial mechanical system firms and include commercial, industrial, institutional and residential construction sectors. Education Programs

- Terrazzo, Tile & Marble Association of Canada (TTMAC)
- A technical resource and liaison for architects, specifiers, designers and engineers and offers training related to terrazzo, tile and marble installations.
